Improving Contractor Onboarding

For years contractors have rocked up on site and risk assessments are back at the office or non existent. Not usually an issue until something goes wrong.

Getting contractors to provide RAMS that relate to the work that they are doing on your site that allow you to comply with your duties under CDM doesn't have to end up as a negotiation at the site gate. Many companies are turning to onboarding portals where you can set site requirements and ask for documentation in advance. These can then be checked and the contractor given the go ahead to proceed. You've then got records of statutory documents (LOLER etc) and a clear idea of who is turning up and when helping you plan more effectively.
